Introduction to AAXAcademy

AAXAcademy is a vocational training provider dedicated to offering high-quality, hands-on learning experiences for young people, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), those holding Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs), school refusers, and those experiencing barriers to education due to anxiety, gang involvement, or challenging circumstances.

Timetable

A roll-on, roll-off timetable offers several benefits, particularly in alternative provision settings where flexibility and individualized learning are key.

Flexibility for Students

Personalized Learning Pace: Students can progress through their courses at their own pace, allowing them to spend more time on areas they find challenging while advancing faster in areas where they excel. This can be especially helpful in an alternative provision setting where traditional timetables might not suit every student’s learning style.

Accommodates Different Schedules: For students who may have additional commitments, such as work or family responsibilities, a roll-on, roll-off timetable gives them the flexibility to attend sessions that fit their personal lives, reducing the pressure of a rigid schedule.

SEND and EHCP Support

AAXAcademy is fully committed to meeting the learning needs of SEND learners and those with EHCPs.
We understand the importance of providing tailored support in line with the specific provisions outlined in an EHCP.
As long as we can facilitate and provide appropriate adjustments and support, we are open and ready to welcome these learners into our programmes, ensuring they achieve the best possible outcomes.

Post-16 Transition, work Experience & preparing for adulthood

AAXAcademy, as an alternative provision, focuses on preparing learners aged 14-16 for adulthood through a combination of practical skills, personal development, and academic qualifications. In alternative provision settings, the goal is not only to provide education but also to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in the adult world. Here are some possible approaches AAXAcademy use:
